Music Scholarships

Music scholarships are conditional on the student’s continued commitment to both co-curricular and classroom music. Recipients are expected to pursue music academically throughout their time at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥, including enrolling in ATAR Music in Years 11 and 12.

To retain their music scholarship, students are required to:

  • Maintain active membership in the appropriate ensemble(s) for their instrument, including a choir, with participation in at least two large ensembles.
  • Participate in the music section of the annual Creative and Performing Arts Festival (CAPAF).
  • Be enthusiastically involved in the broader musical life of St Mary’s, prioritising school-based music activities over external commitments.
  • Continue ongoing instrumental tuition, demonstrating consistent improvement in their music skills.
  • Be enrolled in classroom music.

The application process begins with the submission of an audio-visual recording for shortlisting. Selected candidates will proceed to academic testing, and those advancing further will be invited to a live audition and interview.
